About
I’ve been writing for a long time. My style is plainspoken, cinematic Americana with folk, blues, rock, soul, and country roots, built from concrete objects, physical settings, and restrained emotion rather than explanation. I write about loss, memory, working people, family, love, injustice, moral consequence, displacement, and the dignity of ordinary lives. My lyrics repeatedly focus on what remains after someone or something is gone—a key, mug, coat, name, road, factory, photograph, scar, chair, or habit carrying the emotional weight. At the deepest level, I write about people trying not to disappear—trying to leave proof that they were here, that they mattered, and that someone noticed.
