# A Mind-Full Mess
Mind-full-ness,
Such a mind-full mess
When thoughts of you
Refuse to rest.
Your eyes, I miss.
I’m blindfolded...
Tasting your lips
Like our first kiss.
A sudden spark,
Out in the dark.
You left a scar,
A permanent mark.
I took a sip,
So hard to quit.
Down it dripped
Right off her lip.
I check the clock,
The seconds stop.
I trace her ghost
Around tha’ block.
A phantom thread,
Inside my head.
I’m drowning in
The things she said.
A sudden spark,
Out in the dark.
She left a scar,
A permanent mark.
I took a sip,
So hard to quit.
Down it dripped
Right off her lips.
My heart is hit,
Thoughts still persist.
My mind won’t stop—
Do you feel it?
A note from the lyricist
As I was trying to embody mindfulness, I thought about my minds, fullness. How can one quiet the mind, when the thoughts are so loud?
