There was a man from time forgotten
Searching for a way on paths untrodden
To a new land, where one day he would make his plans
Although he was afraid that his choices might wear thin
He took to writing words about those that knew him
In the hope that, one day they would understand
Say what you want, he’s my friend
We’re all different people, different people
Say what you want, but don’t forget
We’re all different people, different people
He was a man who was rarely outspoken
But he always had the words when his friends were heartbroken
He was careful not to offend anybody
He always had a voice, then he formed an opinion
The way he read the room was one in a million
He makes lots of notes and he hopes to speak with everybody
Say what you want, he’s my friend
We’re all different people, different people
Say what you want, but don’t forget
We’re all different people, different people
