I come from a place where neighbours care
and opportunity runs in the family
Like a great Oak tree that quite reliably
stands tall and majestic, takes all of the credit
We just keep on keeping on
I could take a look and follow
Lean upon and borrow. I could climb up and on and on.
Turn the record round, turn it upside down
Play the songs of tomorrow
Or put the needle back on, and simply rest upon your laurels
Despite not being troubled, I have struggled
to automatically find a real place to stand,
to own the land, to stamp my authority
Time to take a train ride towards undiscovered ballads
And patiently wait 'til something arises
Watch the passing sunrise, sleep beneath the moonshine
Take your time for once
