You know I’d rather go fishin’ than pretty much any thing.
(except maybe that one thing)
I can’t think of anything that could be more fun,
Especially,
when the fish don’t run.
I like to dangle my worm
and make the fishies squirm,
And I’m never done
until I’m done.
Sometimes I forget to stop and eat,
Just wallowing in the sweat and the heat.
Just one more pass, it may be quick, but it just might last,
Cause there’s just nothin’
this ain’t gonna beat.
I grab my rod tight
and get ready for the fight,
You just gotta love it when they nibble and bite.
They might be big
or they might be small,
Maybe even chunky or thin.
But as long as I get ‘em in my boat,
You know I Gotta call it a win.
Yeah, I’d rather be fishing than pretty much any thing.
(Except maybe that one thing.)
I can’t think of nuthin’,
that could be more fun.
Especially when the fish don’t run.
I like to dangle my worm
and make the fishies squirm,
And I’m never done
until I’m done.
Yeah,
They might be big or they might be small,
Maybe even chunky or thin.
But as long as I get them in my boat,
You know I gotta call it a win.
(Yup.)
(Come on now girl, I got ya hooked.)
(jump up in this boat now)
(it’s not my fault you took the bait.)
(Ha!
Don’t worry. I always practice catch and release.)
EndA note from the lyricist
I'm both a dedicated fisherman AND lover. It's all in there.
