Wishing Tree

Lay down your weapons and let every man run free

Relinquish your arms and carry them far from here

Take care of sorrow and don't let it follow your path, make that clear

With freedom you're stronger for longer and longer

But maybe that's hard to see

Put all your dreams upon the wishing tree

Lay in the long grass and let all the reeds grow tall

See the beautiful petals on flowers and watch them fall

Stay 'til tomorrow and borrow the nameless leaves from the trees

Find shelter and comfort from nature in numbers as far as you can see

Put all your dreams upon the wishing tree

Tell all your friends you've found something worth fighting for

That's nothing to do with war

Why not convince them that you're always listening and none of this matters no more

Put all your dreams upon the wishing tree
