Pain
Ping!
FUCK!
That shit hurts
Again a “ping”…
SON OF A BITCH
THAT FUCKIN SHIT HURTS
Hit the throttle
Twist it wide
System failure
Slow gliding
Out of nowhere
Hit the side
crunching the asphalt
Now call the siren
Here they come, the hero faction
Spinal fractures and pelvic contractions
Painful cries, screams of this toxin
But Elevation is not an option
(yet…)
NOT YET!
no no not yet
There’s no time
Still have one more breath
Fly me in
Towards my salvation
No time for death
Based on my vivid calculations
I’m so tired
Need delegation
For this fight
Versus eternal elevation
No mercy, no relief from this
Nonstop misery, no momentary bliss
Devoid of all tranquility
If I die, allow me the humility
*heavy d minor, off key distorted rhythm guitar solo*
NOT YET!
no no not yet
There’s no time
Still have one more breath
This forest of treachery
Has no detour
Through every beast
I must endure!
Broken pelvis
Ruptured spine
Yet salvation
Intervention divine
Bespoken elements
Intertwine
This fighting spirit
The pain subsides…
Live to see another day
Delaying another gladioli bouquet
Can’t wait to hold her hand
Walk her down the aisle when I learn to walk again.
*outro; heavy release, fade out*
Still have one more last breath left [repeat 4x]
A note from the lyricist
“Pain (Last Breath)” is an uptempo post-punk/metal meditation on surviving a catastrophic motorcycle accident and enduring the physical and psychological battle that follows. Moving between visceral crash imagery, surreal battlefield metaphors, and a relentless refusal to surrender, the song transforms pain into a declaration of survival: there is still another breath, another day, and a future worth fighting for.
